Text Box: Family Camps
Text Box: ozED fun family camps on an annual basis.  The camps offer three different programs;

Program for under 7 year olds. This program is a relaxed child care program. It is run on the same premises as the other programs so that the children feel free to interact with their parents as required. (Due to face painting, treasure hunts and lots of other activities, the 2006 kids, did not interact much with their parents as they were just too busy…)

Program for our future leaders. This program is designed and run by Purple Soup. The program is challenging. It is not only designed for those with ED, but also gets active participation from brothers and sisters as well. For those over thirteen years, this will also count as part of the Duke of Edinburgh award that ozED in conjunction with Purple Soup will be offering in 2007.

Program for the adults. We offer a range of interactive sessions where parents can get to know each other a little better, learn and teach all in one. These sessions are run in an informal and relaxed atmosphere with the one simple rule. “The dumb question is the one that you don’t ask”. We also arrange guest speakers to present about issues that they are experts in. This also give our families the opportunity to ask the questions that the standard Children’s Hospital “15 minute consultation” do not allow you to ask.
Text Box: Program Participation
There are no “formalities” with the programs and all participants are free to participate as they feel comfortable. We also do group activities involving all of the groups or a combination of the groups. On the first night of the conference we try to have a group meal and the entertainment is supplied by the leaders group.
